I have been in the design industry for over twenty years and been fortunate enough to have worked with some of the best creative agencies in the world.
My approach is very hands-on. I still get a real buzz from coming up with ideas and finding new ways to express them visually.
The creative process is so universal that I find myself working in a wide range of specialisms from pure branding and identity work through to event and experiential design.
Where I work
Most of my work is in London, but for several years now, clients have invited me to work with them in Qatar and Abu Dhabi, which I've enjoyed immensely.
Having been freelance for so long, I have become quite adept at packing all the equipment I need in to a backpack and setting up wherever is required.
Occasionally I work from home, but my natural habitat is a buzzing, creative studio.
How I work
I've always worked on a freelance basis. I tend to build ongoing, long-term relationships with agencies. In this way, I feel both an integrated part of the team, whilst retaining the objectivity and freshness that comes from continuously working in different environments.
I tend to work for well-known agencies that are highly ranked in their industry. I gravitate towards these environments because I enjoy working with people that are intimidatingly good at what they do. I find it hugely motivating.
I'm fortunate to have been asked to work on projects for some of the world's best known brands, including: Porsche, Disney, Bentley, Emirates, Silverstone F1, BP, IBM, McLaren, Mercedes, Microsoft, Unilever, Sony, Samsung and Sonos.
